RMIT University assignmentSavers: Good Things Take Time
Copywriting, art direction, photography
Ironically, this art direction assignment was what got me serious about copywriting.
When I pitched my idea for this second-hand-clothes campaign to my tutor, he told me that I seemed like a natural writer stuck in a design subject.
He had a fantastic point. That subject tormented me in ways no other class ever has, but this was the first and only assignment that gave us control over the copy as well as the art direction. It was far and away the most fun I ever had in that subject.
To promote thrift shopping and keep Savers top of mind, my campaign adopted the aesthetic of fine cheeses and alcohols, demonstrating how like these goods, Savers’ clothes only get better with age.
